Today is my father’s birthday and for him I created this Jolly Green Giant statue. A Flight Engineer in Vietnam, he was one of the first to use the long-range special operations and combat search and rescue (CSAR) helicopter for the United States Air Force. Also known as the Jolly Green Giant.

Pa was awarded The Silver Star and The Distinguished Flying Cross with 2 Oak leaf Clusters for his service, but to me he’s always been a hero. You can read his story here.
